FAQs
-
Is this service for me?
Hopefully, yes! However, it is difficult to tell until we have completed a consultation. It is important to reiterate that I am unable to help you if you are experiencing any psychiatric or suicidal crises. If this is the case, please see our Immediate and Urgent Crisis Support section from the menu options.
There are other rationales that may effect whether we continue with treatment together, which will be discussed and explored during consultation.
-
What if we decide this service isn't for me?
My job is to ensure that whether we do or do not agree to work together, that I can signpost you and point you in the direction of somewhere or someone who can. That might be mean providing you with information for a specific service or another Therapist that may be better suited to your needs. Additionally, this may include reaching out to your GP independently or with my support.
-
Is this confidential?
In short, yes. And building a trusting, open and honest relationship with you is important however, there may be instances where I may have to consider breaching confidentiality for your own safety, should I be concerned that there may be a level harm towards yourself or another person. This would also be discussed and shared with you. We have further capacity to explore this with you during consultation and therapy contracting.

How do I book in?
You’ll find buttons all over this website on different pages to take you directly to a consultation form. You can also access the Contact Me section in the drop down menu or email directly at abbi@wellbeingtherapies.net
-
How much do sessions cost?
CBT sessions are priced at £80 per session, for up to 60m.
EMDR sessions are priced at £95 per 60m session, £135 per 90m session.
I am able to discuss discounted session rates and block booking discounts during our consultation however, this will be considered on an individual basis and the above cost pricing should be considered as standard.
-
How often are my sessions?
Generally, CBT and EMDR sessions are scheduled once per week or fortnightly depending on the nature of your difficulties and your preferences. It is possible to discuss a longer time frame between sessions of up to 3 weeks, or monthly, again dependent on your current needs. This is flexible and there may be times that we agree to schedule your sessions closer together, or further apart.
-
Can I reach out to you outside of sessions?
If you need to re - schedule, cancel or discuss your sessions, you can absolutely reach out to me outside of your scheduled appointment times however, any other contact is discouraged due to Wellbeing Therapies with Abbi not being a crisis service.
If you need help, please contact your GP or emergency services. Additional contact information can be found in the Immediate and Urgent support section of the website.

Can I have a follow - up session after completing therapy?
In short, yes. If you feel that you would benefit from a follow up session after you have completed treatment, we can discuss booking this in within a time frame that may be suitable for you.
